Started out in California, fiber art, theatre around the west, segued into ballet, industrial slide production, Otis Art Institute, magazine publishing, went to New York and sojourned a year in a back room of Wall Street, book publishing, freelance writing, moved to Florida, graduate studies in philosophy, now I'm teaching art to kids. Back in art again, which I thought I'd left behind in early 80's LA. An old California conceptual/appropriationist of Renaissance sensibility, reconnecting to her roots, many of which are now ripe for appropriation themselves. Jack Goldstein convinced me I was an artist. Arnold Mesches taught me how paintings are made. Kent Twitchell showed me how I draw. Kaffe Fassett led me home. "It's all about where we came from..."
